The Combat Sport Institute
Privacy notice
Last updated 24 October 2026
This notice explains, in plain English, how The Combat Sport Institute handles personal information when you use this website. In short: this website does not currently collect any personal information from you directly.
Who we are
The data controller is The Combat Sport Institute (Alan Philpott), Raceview Mill, 19 Mill Lane, Broughshane, Ballymena BT42 4EZ.
Contact: for any privacy question or request, please send us a direct message on Instagram (@thecombatsportsinstitute26).
What this website collects
- No forms or accounts. There is currently no enquiry form, sign-up or login on this website, so we do not collect your name, email or other details through it.
- If we add an enquiry form later: the name, email address and message you send would be used only to reply to you. Messages would be delivered to us by email through the FormSubmit service, and kept no longer than needed to deal with your enquiry. We will update this notice if that happens.
- Chat assistant (“Ask TCSI”). The chat runs entirely in your browser and answers from the information on this website. What you type is not stored, saved in cookies or local storage, or sent to us or anyone else. It is cleared when you close or reload the page.
- Cookies. This website does not set its own cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel’s servers automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
Third-party content on this site
- Google Maps: the map on our home page is embedded from Google. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set or read cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: the website’s fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when the page loads (covered by the same Google policy).
Booking, payments and external links
Class booking and any payments happen in the MAAT app, not on this website. The MAAT app is provided by a third party and has its own privacy policy. Links to the App Store, Google Play, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. If you message us on Instagram or Facebook, we receive your profile name and whatever you choose to send, and use it only to reply.
Children
This website does not knowingly collect personal information from children. For our Ninjas (5–11) and Juniors (12–16) classes, a parent or guardian handles booking.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have the right to ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this page if anything changes, for example if we add an enquiry form or an email address. The date at the top shows the latest version.
